About Merkez Makine

Founded in 1976 by three brothers at the Karaköy Thursday Market in Istanbul, Merkez Makine began its commercial operations with hardware products. The company moved to Ümraniye in 1988 and shifted its focus to woodworking machinery in 1997; it continues to operate from the same location today, with both its store and warehouse. Continuously expanding its scope of operations and product range over the years, Merkez Makine has also broadened its activities in spare parts and imports since 2020. Through this process, the company has evolved from a structure focused solely on machine sales to a more comprehensive one that conducts research across various product groups, develops products through suppliers based on market needs, identifies new suppliers, and carries out direct imports.
Merkez Makine, which has built upon its 50 years of industry experience to adapt to changing market needs, continues its operations with a more planned, corporate, and sustainable growth approach while maintaining its identity as a family-owned business. Today, it offers its customers alternative solutions in both woodworking machinery and the supply of industrial spare parts.

 

Our Product Line and Our Approach

 

In the woodworking machinery sector, we offer a wide range of machines to meet the needs of the furniture manufacturing industry—from edge-banding machines to horizontal circular saws with scoring units, and from CNC woodworking machines to press and cutting solutions.
In the industrial spare parts sector, we have a very broad portfolio, including edge banding units, cutting tools, inverters and AC drives, pneumatic equipment, linear bearing and rail systems, industrial chains, motors, and electrical and fastening components.
At Merkez Makine, we base our product selection on quality, field performance, operational reliability, and supplier reliability; we prioritize the reliable and sustainable use of products throughout production processes. We conduct detailed research on new products and suppliers, examine them at trade shows, and evaluate them through sample and field testing; we also incorporate feedback from manufacturers into our product selection process. We consider criteria such as compliance with relevant standards and testing requirements, as well as CE certification for the respective product groups, to be key components of our selection process.
